missed two calls, sent out resume before to job recruiters, should i call back. so i sent my resume to this legal job recruiting web site on wednesday, and i received an automated e-mail saying that i would be contacted if there are ings and such. i received two missed phone calls this morning, both from a personal cell phone number located in maryland. the job agency i sent my resume to is in dc. would an employer contact a prospective employee through a personal cell phone number or from the business phone this was between 1055 and 11am this morning. im really worried because i dont know if i should call the number back or what, and
reverse phone lookup showed where its from and it isnt a business number, its a 240 personal cell phone. last night i got a phone call from someone looking for someone else, so im wondering if it could have been someone with the wrong numbers should i call the number back and find out and if so, if it is a recruiters personal cell phone, would that be appropriate to call back on and what should i say. that sounds a little hinky dont you think its been my experience that a legitimate employer who is interested enough to call a prospective employee would leave a voice mail and ask you to return the call. i think youre stressing out over nothing.. call back. if it wasnt an appropriate number for you to call him on, he wouldnt have called you on it. just say youre sorry, but you missed a couple phone calls from this number. if it was a wrong number, no big deal, go about your day. if it was a recruiter and he asks you to call on the business line to set up an appointment, ask him for the phone number, say thank you for your time, and call it. im not sure a recruiter would call twice without leaving a message but always worth a shot. good luck hope you the job. ). hard to believe you are making such a big deal about a missed call, call the and find out.
